SERVPRO Water Damage Tip!

Remove water stains from your wood furniture with the help of butter! Add a small amount of butter to the stain, and let it sit. Wipe it away after 24 hours.

3 Great Water Damage Tips!

1. Repair peeling paint around doors and windows, which can be a sign of water getting into the wood.

2. Look for roof leaks around chimneys, plumbing vents and attic vents. Trace the source of a ceiling leak by measuring its location from the nearest outside wall and then locate this point in the attic using a measuring tape.

3. Make sure your air conditioner's drain pan drains feely, is adequately sloped toward the outlets and that no standing water is present. Drain pans usually overflow the first time the unit is turned on in the spring.
